Happy B-day!!

Gael is 1 month old today. I can't believe he has been with us for a whole month. He has already grown so much since he was born.

He had his one month check-up with his doctor yesterday and they weighed him and he was 8 lb 8 oz (or 8 1/2 lbs). He went up 1 1/2 lb in three weeks. He is 21 inches long (i.e. also gained 1.5 inches in three weeks).

He has already started filling up some of his 0-3 month outfits and has outgrown some of his newborn outfits.

Grandpa!!

Well Grandpa Robledo and Aunt Vanessa were here this weekend to see Gael for the first time. They were so excited to see him and couldn't get enough of him. It was a busy weekend as we all went out (including Gael) to Sam's Club so we could restock the refrigerator with food for Reyna and I (and of course two big jugs of formula for Gael).

We also went to Babys -R- Us and bought Gael his playard thanks to the gift card I got from all the people at my job. I still have to write them a thank you card. We also bought a baby carrier. Of course both things match his stroller system. They are...

Grandpa also helped Dad with some projects around the house and we built Reyna a folding table in the laundry room.

Birth announcement picture

This is the picture I took of Gael at home when he was 6 days old. We used this picture for the birth announcements we sent out. Isn't he just adorable!!

Gael is here!!!

Well I'm a little late but Gael was born on September 30, 2008 at 5:53 PM. He was 6 lbs 15 oz and 19 inches long. Momma had a c-section and is now in better spirits. Gael already had his first appt with his doctor and all is well. He was back up near his birth weight :6 lbs 15.5 oz and 19.5 inches long.
